The firm’s litigation practice was founded by our senior partner Sami Nahas, and has been at the forefront of law practice in Lebanon for more than 45 years.

Our attorneys have expertise in all areas of Lebanese law and are qualified to represent clients before all types of national courts and tribunals.

Our strategy is that, prior to starting any litigation we always evaluate the realistic outcome of the process in order to assess the chances of success. Whenever litigation is required, our expertise covers a variety of litigation disciplines including banking litigation, employment disputes, commercial and civil disputes, intellectual property litigation, as well as construction and real estate litigation.

We represent clients, including corporations and financial institutions, before domestic and international arbitration institutions at all stages of the arbitration process. Our expertise extends from the drafting of arbitration agreements, to pre-contentious negotiations, conduct of arbitral proceedings, and advice and representation at trial. We also appear before national courts to prosecute or defend applications for interim measures in support of arbitration, such as injunctions and court attachments, or to challenge or enforce an arbitral award.

Our Partners are members of leading arbitral institutions. Our Senior Partner serves as arbitrator on the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the Dubai International Arbitration Center (DIAC) and regularly sits as arbitrator in domestic and international arbitrations. Our Managing Partner is a member of the arbitral court at the Arbitration Center of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon (CCIA-BML). Our team has broad experience with ad hoc proceedings in relation to various disputes, including construction disputes under FIDIC contracts.
